What sessions are like

This isn’t a passive process.

We will typically:

identify the underlying rule-set (approval, certainty, perfectionism, control)

build skills for regulation and cognitive flexibility

design behavioral practice that fits your real constraints

review outcomes as data: what helped, what didn’t, what’s next
You will not be asked to “think positive.”
You will be asked to act in alignment with what matters.

What I do not treat

I am likely not the right provider if you need:

a higher level of care (inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient)
-
ongoing crisis management as the primary focus
-
active substance withdrawal support
-
court-ordered treatment, custody evaluations, or forensic services
-
formal psychological testing or comprehensive neuropsychological assessment
-
complex case management requiring in-person coordination
If that applies, I will refer you to more appropriate resources.
